WIREGRASS BREAKING BARRIERS 2019 AGENDA
WHAT IS THE WIREGRASS BREAKING BARRIERS REGIONAL?
Are you a medical or behavioral health provider, social worker, case manager, or health advocate in Alabama or the U.S. South? Join hundreds of your colleagues as we examine the changing landscape of rural care, including HIV, HCV, opioids, and more in Alabama and beyond. The Wiregrass Breaking Barriers Regional is a single-day pre-Summit professional development event developed in relationship to the annual multi-day Breaking Barriers Summit in Montgomery.
Collectively, the Breaking Barriers training events serve to empower those who are empowering others through care, support services, and prevention activities in the U.S. South’s rural communities. Contact hours, professional presenters, networking opportunities, and health-supporting exhibitors all in one place. The Wiregrass Breaking Barriers Regional serves both to expand on the training tools and resources garnered from the larger, multi-day Breaking Barriers Summit, or as a stand alone experience geographically closer for many in the Southeastern corner of Alabama, and nearby parts of Georgia, and Florida.
