MAO’s services are subsidized by government and private grants as well as donations from the community. These subsidies help to reduce or, in some cases, remove the barrier of cost completely. During initial patient intake, the social services team will review any assistance programs you may be eligible to access and will guide you through the application processes.
Once your eligibility for assistance has been confirmed, remaining costs can be addressed through Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance (if any exists), payment plans (in some cases), or a combination of these options. Some MAO services outside of routine care may also be available to existing patients at no cost thanks again to generous community donations.
Any required co-payments stipulated by your insurance can be made using a bank check card, major credit card, PayPal or personal check made payable to MAO, or in cash. If co-payments are required, they must be paid at the time of service. No patient will be turned away due to their inability to pay.
