Individual certificates of completion will be issued to participants who successfully participated in the full day of training at the close of the day following the submission of their evaluation survey. Training Objectives:

At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:
-Provide updates from the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling (ABEC) on clinical and ethical practice issues that have impacted Alabama therapists in the last 24 months
-Explain the ADA perspective on the use of service animals in clinical practice and community workplace settings
-Discuss the legal impact of protected health information breaches when working with people who are diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections and other communicable diseases
-Discuss ethical and cultural considerations for substance abuse professionals in treatment settings
-Provide recent updates on common ethical issues and service coordination identified by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners.

Instructions for Claiming Continuing Education Credit:

To receive credit, learners must complete the requirements listed here.

1. Complete the registration process using full and accurate information, including your license number, if applicable, and your full name as it should appear on your CE records.

2. Remain in attendance for the duration of the training day. Partial session credit will not be offered. Learners who join a session more than ten minutes late may not be eligible to claim CE credit.

3. Respond to the post training evaluation survey provided at the end of the training day.

Continuing education contact hours certificates will be provided at the end of the day to all attendees who successfully complete the requirements listed.
