MAO Social Services Division exists to promote equality and access of services for those living with HIV, Hepatitis C and other life-threatening illnesses, and to develop opportunities for MAO’s patients and their families. Social services include: case management; management of specialty services; insurance and public assistance consultation; transportation assistance for successful care; housing; assistance; food pantry services; job training to help those in MAO’s care pursue employment; patient policy research; and more, in addition to taking a leadership position in community advocacy efforts that may one day improve the overall quality of life for those MAO serves.
