Mental/Behavioral Health/Counseling

MAO offers mental health counseling services as well as a growing list of behavioral health support services, including referrals for more complex substance abuse and addiction treatment, to all MAO and Copeland Care Clinic patients at no additional charge to the patient.

  • Anger issues, and the development of assertiveness skills, rather than aggression
  • Childhood trauma, caused from neglect or from physical, mental and emotional abuse, as well as sexual abuse
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Grief due to the loss of a loved one

  • Suicidal thoughts and feelings

We address these and other concerns in a safe, confidential, and non-shaming manner, with high regard and respect for the individual and her or his “story”.  Each of us has our own “story” and it is in the telling of the story that we are often able to gain a different perspective regarding painful events.
