Learning Center

ARE YOU SEEKING PROFESSIONAL TRAINING? THE MAO LEARNING CENTER AND THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION & TRAINING CAN HELP.

BUILDING HUMAN CAPACITY FOR WELLNESS

Advancements in medical science have been as much about the innovation of providers as it has been about laboratory research. The same can be said for the critical nature of patient care in treatment adherence of HIV/AIDS, other life-threatening illnesses and mental health.

The MAO Learning Center provides wellness courses for MAO clients and professional development for the healthcare community. Onsite workshops, online courses and webinars expand the knowledge base for providers working in medical and behavioral health on  the latest treatment models, as well as social, cultural and environmental influences on the care of HIV, Hepatitis C, Diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses.

The MAO Department of Education and Training can provide or connect you with in-person and online trainings, conferences, learning series, skill-building workshops, preceptorships and internships, clinical consultation, and technical assistance. You may also wish to explore the collective offerings by our colleagues at the Southeast AIDS Education Training Center. Tell them you were referred by Medical Advocacy & Outreach (MAO) in Alabama.
