PrEP Services

What is PrEP?

Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (or PrEP) is medication taken to prevent getting HIV.  PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV when taken as prescribed, up to 99% from sexual activity or 74% from possible exposure as a result of injection drug use.

MAO provides PrEP options for your convenience:

  • in person at multiple locations
  • by telemedicine
  • Labs done in-person or with Home-based PrEP lab kits mailed to you.
